Why You Should Not Vote For Jill Stein

Why You Should Not Vote For Jill Stein

There are many reason’s why you shouldn’t vote for Jill Stein. I decided to write this article today because I just un-followed one of her ardent supporters. Several times a day this person bashes Hillary. I have yet to see this person Tweet a reason why I should vote for Jill Stein. Since I openly support Hillary Clinton and do so because she’s by far the strongest candidate running. She’s stood up to the GOP and their bullshit for more than 30 years.

Hillary Clinton has been accused of everything under the sun and come out standing. Like Obama, she is being help to a higher standard than Trump or the other two 3rd party candidates. She has earned my support. I don’t think she’s perfect. She’s made some mistakes but she’s owned up to them, repeatedly and I respect that as well. So, if I am going to suddenly stop promoting Hillary, I’d need a damn good reason. And, some bullshit GOP fuckery nonsense.

There’s also that fact that I believe Obama has been the best president this country has seen in more than 50 years and he supports Hillary Clinton. If that isn’t enough for you, I honestly don’t know what else could sway you and get you thinking logically. But, I will try.

I will admit that I bash Trump all the time. I can see how someone might consider it then hypocritical of me to un-follow someone for bashing Hillary. It’s a legitimate question. I do so for obvious reasons, he’s a bigot, he says racist things, he’s misogynistic, he’s xenophobic and the list goes on. I also do so because the next president is going to be either be Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. If you think otherwise, you’re simply delusional. I know that must hurt to hear but someone needs to say it. It’s either Trump or Hillary the sooner people realize that the better. My bashing of Trump is not going to help split the democrat and liberal vote.

When it comes to supporting a third party candidate like Jill Stein if your spending your time bashing Hillary Clinton you’re risking a Trump Presidency. If you want to talk about Steins accomplishments, fine. However, attacking Hillary is only helping Donald Trump become the next president. Think about it. You’re not helping Jill Stein at all by attacking Hillary Clinton. All you’re doing is pissing off those of us that do and to top it off, you’re not even giving us a reason to support Jill Stein. You’re just bashing Hillary. How do you think that’s going to change the mind of someone who supports Hillary?

You want to change my mind? Convince me first that at this late stage of the game, Jill Stein has a realistic chance of winning. Then, convince me that she is better qualified than Hillary. Tell me of of her accomplishments that make her a better choice. Tell me about her great diplomatic experiences. Show me how she is prepared to battle ISIS? If you can’t do that then maybe you need to reconsider things more than I do. Don’t do what’s best for you, do what’s best for this country.

Jill Stein hasn’t impressed me. But, I will admit I hadn’t researched her much. When I saw that she supports the anti-vax movement a few months ago, that was all I needed to know about her. You can try to claim that she doesn’t, but she does. It’s obvious to anyone that she is playing to both sides on the subject. She is trying to say that she supports vaccines while refusing to condemn the anti-vaxers. She goes even further by acknowledging their idiotic views.

As I said, the next president is either going to be Trump or Hillary. By attacking Hillary all your doing is causing doubt in the only candidate that stands a chance to beat Donald Trump. Attacking Hillary Clinton only helps Trump. I’m sorry you believe all the lies about Hillary. But, if you honestly think Trump is better for this country than Hillary Clinton you’re an idiot and I don’t think anyone is an idiot for supporting Jill Stein. What I do think is that those supporting Jill or Gary Johnson are doing more harm to this country than good. Though your motives maybe be noble and full of good intentions, the road to Hell, is in fact, paved with good intentions. You need to wake up and see the truth of the matter.

What it comes down to is that when you attack Hillary with unfounded accusation and lies, you’re no better than Trump and his idiot supporters. Be better than that. Wake up and accept the reality. Jill Stein is not going to win. It’s either Trump or Hillary. You’re either going to vote for Hillary or you’re going to allow to Trump win because you can’t past yourself. Don’t let that happen.

Here are some articles I found that should be enough to convince a logical open-minded person that Jill Stein is not worth voting for.

Jill Stein’s Ideas Are Terrible. She Is Not the Savior the Left Is Looking For.

Green Party Hero Jill Stein Busted Trying to Cover Up Her Praise of Bigotry-Driven Brexit

Dr. Jill Stein Is Anti-Science, Bad for the Environment, and Deserves Her Anti-Vax Label

Jill Stein’s anti-vaccine message – it’s anti-science

The list is endless. These aren’t factless accounts and conspiracy theories. These are all things she thinks and has said. Nothing here is made up. I understand that some don’t like Hillary. It’s just that, this is such a laughable excuse. We are so close to a Trump presidency and there are those out there handing it to him by supporting these third party candidates. These people aren’t going to win, they have no chance of winning. Just because you want to believe it, doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

Please do this country a favor and vote for Hillary. The only way Hillary Clinton could loose is if she doesn’t get enough votes. We already know there’s a ton of flat out idiots that are going to vote for Donald Trump. Hillary needs every sane vote and right now, there are too many well–intentioned people who just don’t like Hillary so they won’t vote for her. Don’t let Trump win because you don’t like Hillary.

And, one last thing to further support my ideology on the matter. Do you remember what a disaster Bush Jr. was? He was a failed president by the end of his first term and he barely won his second term. Why did he barley win? Because there was a 3rd party candidate that far too many democrats and independents decided to vote for. Thanks to those people, we got four more years of Bush Jr. and his failed policies. He failed to hunt down Osama, he crashed the economy and came a heartbeat away from causing an actual depression. Think about that before you decide to put this country at risk again because voting for a 3rd party candidate is exactly what you’re doing.

Why Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem Protest is Wrong

Why Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem Protest is Wrong

Why Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem Protest is Wrong

There are many reasons why I believe Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest is wrong. However, I’d like to start off by saying that I don’t hate him for what he is doing at all. In fact, what he did in a great many ways proved perfectly the point he was trying to make. Proving his point, isn’t the problem. Getting those who need to hear it, is.

I love this country and I would die for this country. However, I would much live for this country. Our country has made a lot of mistakes and she isn’t perfect but I will stand up for the core ideals that she was founded on. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness good. All that stuff about black people not being worth the same as a white man I want nothing to do with.

When Colin Kaepernick is protesting the treatment of minorities in this country, I fully support that. Not standing for the National Anthem however is mistake because our current constitution supports the exact same things he believes in. What he should be angry at is not America. Colin Kaepernick should be upset with it’s the politicians, the hate groups and the people that support those politicians and hate groups.

Protesting the National Anthem because you’re upset with race relations in this country is like protesting McDonald’s because you’re upset some dude filmed himself fucking a McChicken sandwich. What Colin Kaepernick should be doing is supporting candidates that have the same ideals that he does. He needs to go out and talk about the issues he believes are important. He needs to learn about the political process. Then he could organize some rallies and stage some proper protests.

What he’s doing is failing. He’s pissing off the very people whose minds he wants to change. Preaching to the choir is never how you change minds. It’s never worked and and it will. It is pointless to preach to those who already agree with you. What you need to do is speak to those who do not agree with you. Those are the minds you need to change.

A moment ago I mentioned a proper protest. What did I mean by that? Glad you asked. A proper protest is a legal action. It should be a place where you can make your point to the world. It’s your time speak to those who don’t agree with you and change their minds. But, if you are conducting a protest by pissing the people off those whose minds your are trying to change, you’ve already failed.

One of the reasons Dr. King’s speeches and protests worked and helped to change an entire country is because he spoke to the people. He treated everyone with respect and his protests were peaceful. The country was forced to take a look at itself in the mirror because of the things he said and did. The way we saw the treatment of the black community began to change. News coverage of white cops beating black men with night sticks could no longer be ignored. White cops turning hoses on peaceful protesters began to sink in to mainstream America that there’s a problem they could no longer deny.

Dr. King’s speeches, protests and rallies never would have been effective if he had not preached love and respect over hate and fear. He was a smart man and he knew that education, politics and love would win the day. This is in complete contrast to what Colin Kaepernick is doing. It’s only assuring that the very minds he wants to open will remain closed. The only thing those people will see is that Colin Kaepernick hates America. That is the exact opposite of what I believe Colin Kaepernick is trying to accomplish and I am sure the exact opposite of what he believes.

Why You’ve Got To Vote for Hillary Clinton

Why You’ve Got To Vote for Hillary Clinton

Why You’ve Got To Vote for Hillary Clinton

There are so many reasons why you’ve got to vote for Hillary Clinton. It should be obvious to anyone. Just the mere thought of anyone ever having to say, “President Trump” should be enough to get every thinking man and woman to vote for Hillary Clinton. Sadly, there are great many Bernie Supporters out there that are refusing to support Hillary even though the man they pledged to support, is now supporting Hillary. This terrifies me just as much as anyone supporting Trump does.

In the beginning I was heavily leaning towards supporting Bernie Sanders. I wasn’t a huge Hillary fan. I don’t hate her like so many people do. I am however smart enough to see past all the hateful propaganda that has been leveled at her. Sadly, I am not too sure about many of the Bernie supporters out there. It appears that some Bernie supporters aren’t really Bernie supporters. It turns out there are just left leaning people that hate Hillary Clinton because they’ve fallen victim to the GOP’s sensational plan to demonize the woman.

The GOP has been attacking Bill and Hillary Clinton for decades. Nothing has stuck. Hillary Clinton has never been charged with a crime or even arrested for one. She was a successful lawyer, Senator and Secretary of State. And yet, some people are absolutely convinced that she is guilty of all kinds of things that she never did because they have been told repeatedly by the GOP that is she is guilty. She supports Satan according to prominent members of the GOP and worst of all the media does very little to ever rebuke these nonsensical and nonfactual claims. Oh they splash all kinds of headlines about what was said about her knowing very well that even if the article or news story proves the allegations false, most people only read and hear the headlines.

It is outrageous to me how the media continually repeats these lies over and over again in their headlines. A responsible media source wouldn’t repeat the lie in a headline or if they did it would be followed with a “false” next to it. The best headlines or at least the most responsible headlines would say something like, “Joe Blow’s accusations against Jane Blow True or False?” This type of headline is at least marginally responsible. It doesn’t repeat the lie and it encourages the reader or viewer to investigate further. But, the media almost never does that. They splash the lie across the screen and they know that most people will never read past that headline.

So when it comes to supporting for someone for the office of President of the United States of America you have got to ask yourself. Do I agree with the things Trump is saying? If so, then take the time research if the things he is saying are true. If he promises to do something like say, “Build a while and have Mexico pay for it.” Ask yourself, how does he propose to do that? In fact, doing that kind of research is why I stopped supporting Bernie Sanders in the first place.

Bernie Sanders said had said a lot of things that I liked. He also said I lot of things that scared the shit out of me. His hatred for capitalism frightened me. The way he villainizes big business is a level propaganda that is every bit as misleading as the GOP has been in their campaigning. And, his attacks on Hillary on at times were absolutely childish to the point of embarrassment. His tax plan isn’t fair. It’s terribly one sided to the point of absurdity.

Does everyone remember when Bernie, out of nowhere, said that Hillary Clinton isn’t qualified to be president? Does anyone remember what his response was when asked why he said that? Well, it appears Bernie is the type is man that passes full judgment based on headlines. If you recall, there were some media headlines that incorrectly implied that Hillary Clinton said that Bernie Sanders wasn’t qualified to be president. Well, Bernie with the maturity level of a spastic 4-year-old on a sugar high, responds with, “I don’t think Hillary is ‘qualified’ to be president.” He quoted the “qualified” part in reference to Hillary calling him unqualified. The sad thing, Hillary never said he wasn’t qualified. However, a news article by a major paper ran with the headline, “Clinton questions whether Sanders is qualified to be president.” Obviously Bernie never read the story attached to that Washington Post article. Had Sander’s read it, he would have noted that Hillary never said he wasn’t qualified, didn’t even suggest it. What she did do was attack him with facts and issues. Facts that to this day, Bernie has never denied.

Anyone taking the time read even the most basics of Bernie’s tax plan would see that it is completely unfair and biased against the rich. That’s a problem in my eyes. I am flat ass broke. And, I am thankful for any tax break I get yet I also understand that the cards are stacked against me. I understand that the rich get the most amazing tax breaks. All I want, and I think all anyone should want, is a more level playing field. Everyone above the poverty line should be required to pay their fair share of taxes. I don’t want the rich to pay any more of percentage than anyone else. What Bernie suggests is outrageous and offense. No one should be subject to a 60% tax rate. No one! I don’t care if someone makes 50k a year or 50 billion. The government does not deserve 60% of your money. Taxes should be lower not higher. Taxes should be fair for everyone.

We need to work with the banks and big business. Hillary understands that, Obama understands this. This is why our economy has come back so strong after 8 years of the Bush administration trying to bankrupt it with war after war and failed policy after failed policy. Bernie seemed to only want to attack the rich and big businesses. He gave no plan on how he wanted to “break apart the banks.” Something that probably would have collapsed the economy.

But, I get those that supported him. How can we all not be frustrated at the government, at the rich, at big business? Well, killing those things isn’t the answer. Fixing them is. Hillary has been attacked repeatedly by those on both sides of the fence and sadly, every attack is based on half-truths and bullshit. But, all of that fails in comparison to the complete devastation we face under a Trump presidency. Trump is a proven liar who has been buying himself out of trouble for decades. He doesn’t understand the common man. He has never lived a day in the shoes of a working class person. He has spent his entire life with penthouse views. Trump has never been poor. He’s never not been able to buy most things he’s wanted. Imagine that. Always being able to buy anything you ever wanted.

He’s never had to work a day in his life. I am not saying the man hasn’t ever worked. I’m not even saying he hasn’t worked hard. What I am saying is that is there is huge difference between working and having to work. From the day of his birth Trump hasn’t had to work. Yes, he’s got the drive to work and that’s admirable. But, it obvious in everything he says that he has absolutely no clue what it’s like to be a part of the middle class. No idea what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck. I will admit that I could accept that. I mean I don’t have to be shot to know that being shot sucks and hurts. It’s just that Trump hasn’t once made an impassioned plea for the poor. Even the times he’s given to charity thus far, all appear to be done not because he cares for the cause but rather because it’s write-off. There’s even evidence that he’s lied about the money he gives to charity. Oh and there’s the fact that he hasn’t even released his taxes.

He has openly supported Hillary Clinton in the past. He has said that he’s “more democrat than republican.” Now he’s running as a racist, bigot, xenophobe and misogynist to name a few and as of last night he is the official republican nominee for The President of the United States of America. He has called all Mexicans rapists, he has called all women “Gold Diggers” and said that breastfeeding is disgusting. He’s thinks in terms of leadership (Putin) is getting an A.” He’s applauded the work of Saddam Hussein. This man cannot be president! He has no plan, his VP openly admits to not believing in Evolution, Climate Change or that smoking kills. He wants to overturn Roe v. Wade. He is a repeated liar just as Trump is.

So how can anyone under the circumstances not vote for Hillary? I have heard the comment, “It’s a choice between two bad candidates.” No it’s not. First, if you take the time to actually look up every reason that makes you not like Hillary Clinton, you’re going to find that almost all of the bad things you believed about her are untrue or at the very least, misleading. Do the same with Trump and you will see that almost everything he’s been accused of is actually true! The worst part is that when proven he’s wrong, he denies it or makes excuses for it. He hasn’t accepted responsibility for any of it.

If you think not voting for Hillary is doing anyone any good at all, you are sorely mistaken and the rest of the world is going to have to pay for your ignorance. Please, take a minute and look at the facts. Think about what you’re about to do this November. The question is simple, you either want Trump to be president or you don’t. Not voting for Hillary is the exact same as voting for Trump. Voting for a third party candidate is the same as voting for Trump.

In the campaign Obama ran against McCain I felt the choice was about either continuing the bad economical choices and war time choices Bush had been making or going with someone that seemed to have a very common sense plan to fix the economy and get our troops out of harm’s way. So I voted for Obama.

Also, if you Remember, McCain had voted 95% of the time with Bush and that was enough to scare me away from him. Sanders has voted about 95% of the time, the same as Clinton. Now some Bernie supporters have been so ridiculous as to claim that “that 5% makes a difference!” Well of course it does. But, you know what makes a bigger fucking difference? The 95% of the time he fucking agreed with her!

Your reasoning for not voting for Hillary is probably based on things that you believe to be true that are not. Please don’t let everything we have worked for be in vain. In 2010 democrats stayed at home and because of it we lost seats in both houses. It gave us Ted Cruz because the Dems stayed home. We gave the Tea Party a substantial voice in both houses because dems stayed home. Don’t be the reason we give Trump the presidency.

The next president is either going to be Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. No third party candidate is going to win. Seriously, because you don’t like Hillary you’re making it that much easier for Trump to win. Think about that because at the end of the day, you either are supporting Trump for president or not. Any vote that isn’t for Hillary is a vote for Donald Trump. You’re not being profound, you’re not making a bold statement against Hillary, you are handing the election to Donald Trump. Don’t hand the election to Donald Trump.

You didn’t get the candidate you wanted. I get that. It sucks. You what is going to suck more? Having to say, President Donald Trump. Obama said recently, that politics work best when we work together and I believe that with all my heart. Maybe next time your candidate will be the nominee? Please think about what you’re doing here.

Right now in my Twitter feed there are several people that were very loud Bernie supporters. They are still bashing Hillary Clinton. Some of them, have now stopped supporting Bernie and are choosing 3rd party candidates. How ridiculous is that? The man you supported is now supporting Hillary because he was smart enough to understand that we all have to come together to make sure that Donald Trump will never be president.

Bernie Sanders is the man you were so willing to trust as your president and now you’re not supporting his choice to back Hillary Clinton? It’s hard to take anyone with that kind of failed logic seriously. But, I do! Please, take a breath and think about what’s best for your country. And, if you can look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I’d rather have Trump as president than Hillary” then just go ahead and vote for Trump because not voting, or voting for that 3rd party candidate will have the same end result as voting for Donald Trump and that’s a fact.

Why Abortion Is Not Murder

Why Abortion Is Not Murder

Why Abortion Is Not Murder…

I’ve often wondered why abortion is not murder. I’ve been pro-choice for as long as I can recall but to be honest it’s always bothered me that so many pro-choice people seem to completely ignore the implication that abortion is murder. I mean it seems pretty clear that if there is human life and you end it, it’s murder. Or, at the very least, it is in fact a killing of a human being. There is a difference between killing and murder. One has a defense and the other does not.

This is the key issue for me. How can we justify the taking of that unborn life? Personally, it’s not so much that I justified it as an okay thing to do. I didn’t. I don’t think it’s an okay thing to do. I think it’s a shitty thing to do. However, I just don’t feel we have the right to tell anyone what they can do with their bodies in most cases. I feel the health and well being of women is more important than an embryo.

As it turns out, I have worried about this issue for far too long because as it turns out, it’s not really issue at all. Contrary to what I have been told by the religious right and the pro-life community it is not murder. I did a little research and it turns out those embryo’s aren’t “alive” in the sense we’ve told to believe they are. And, by alive, I mean human life.

First, an embryo isn’t an embryo at conception, it’s called a zygote. It won’t be an embryo for about 4 days. At this point it’s just some cells that have begun to divide. It is not a baby. It’s not human life.

Second, an embryo is not a baby or a fetus. It can’t survive outside of the womb. It’s body hasn’t fully formed and won’t until about week 9. It’s not human life.

Third, you can’t have murder without consciousness. Consciousness, doesn’t just happen. It happens over time. We can’t know for sure the moment it does happen but we can say to some certain when it has not.

That is the key issue. If something has no consciousness then it’s not human life. I think this is where we need study. Whether or not abortion should be illegal shouldn’t ever be a debate. It should be a matter of medical certainty. Philosophy and religion should play no part in the issue. Philosophy and religion are for debates as to whether a person should get an abortion or not. Not whether or not it is a murder. They can debate their opinions all they want However, when it comes to whether or not an abortion is murder, the only thing that matters are the facts and until that fetus has significantly developed a brain and nervous system enough to support consciousness then it can not be considered murder.

Defining consciousness.

Consciousness is defined as the state of being awake and aware of one’s surroundings. Now I can hear you thinking, “Well, if consciousness is all that is needed to be considered alive then why is killing someone in their sleep or in a coma considered murder. Good question. Because, that person was conscious prior to falling asleep or being in a coma and when they wake or come out of that coma they will regain their consciousness. A fetus, isn’t just taking a break from it’s consciousness. A fetus doesn’t have consciuousness and then over time it begins to develop. Usually consciousness develops between the 24th and 28th week of gestation. This is one reason why the cutoff to get an abortion is usually around 24 weeks unless the women’s health is an issue.

I understand why the pro-life people are against abortions. If you’ve been told a lie that life begins at conception you’re going to naturally believe that abortion is murder. However, this is a lie and anyone spreading it is either uninformed or intentionally lying to you and is almost certainly trying to sell you something.

I also understand how the pro-life crowd can feel that a fetus is human life. When you see photos of a fetus and it appears to have all it’s body parts it’s easy to make the leap that is in fact a human life when it simply isn’t until sometime after the 24th week of gestation.

Yet, because I understand many of the reasons these people believe abortion is murder, the simple truth of the matter is that they are just terribly misinformed. Misinformed by religious leaders they should be able to trust and by politicians that are just as uninformed or trying to push an agenda or pander to voters. Both trying to spread an agenda that is not based on the facts of the issue. And, if you honestly think about it, shouldn’t the determination of what is and what is not murder be made by doctors and scientists who have studied the medically related facts instead of the religious and political leaders who are doing nothing more than just voicing their opinions?

As I said earlier, uninformed opinions have no place in determining what is and what is not murder. If someone wants to believe abortion is murder contrary to the facts, that’s sadly their right to do so. What isn’t and should never be someone’s right to do, is to force their uninformed opinions on to others.

I say this a lot and I mean it. Don’t take my word for the things I say here. I’m just some guy on the internet with a blog.  I want you to research this stuff. Sure can take my word for it want to but I can make mistakes. What I can promise you is that I always try to base my opinions on facts. Real facts, supported by evidence. I don’t every try to mislead anyone in my articles. I research a topic and then I write about it. I don’t ignore the evidence I find. That being said, if an issue important to you then do the research. Sure reading opinions may give you a different insight into an issue but it can also fill your head with bullshit. So take articles like these with a grain of salt.

Below I’ve linked to some sites that I used in the research of this article. There were many articles that I read besides the ones below, some by sites I respect like the Huffington Post and Patheos to name a few but I found them to either completely miss the point of the issue or just too wordy and filled with needless exposition.

Why I Am Supporting Hillary Clinton and Not Bernie Sanders

Why I Am Supporting Hillary Clinton and Not Bernie Sanders

Why I Am Supporting Hillary Clinton and Not Bernie Sanders…

I need to start this by saying, I’m not a huge fan of either candidate. I respect both of them but don’t feel strongly towards either one of them. I can say, that some Bernie’s supporters are really helping me to turn against him. Some of these people are being so hypocritical and so blind to the realities of the world, it’s simply staggering. There are some real problems with Bernie that some of his supporters are in complete denial about. Hillary has got some issues as well but her supporters are far less annoying and far more factual in my experiences on social media though they are not why I am supporting Hillary Clinton and not Bernie Sanders at this time.

I don’t make my decisions on who to vote for based on who supports them. However, I do research claims that supporters make about the candidates. I don’t re-tweet political memes without fact checking them first. Wish more people would do that. If they did, I am guessing there wouldn’t be as many republicans and there wouldn’t be as many Bernie supporters because time after time their memes and other statements full of misleading or factual errors and sometimes both.

However, because I fact check many of the things that Hillary and Bernie supporters have been saying about the candidates, I have learned a lot about each one. I have gone through many changes during this election process so far. I was really considering supporting Bernie. However, the more I learned about him, the more cautious I have become and I have outlined a few of those concerns below.

First, his tax plan is completely unfair to the rich. Shocking, I would stick up for the rich, considering how damn poor I am. His apparent hatred of capitalism is disturbing to me. I thought at first he wanted what I did and that is for the rich to pay their fair share. That’s not the case, he wants to tax the shit out of them. How is that fair at all? It’s not. Expecting someone to pay more than 60% of their earnings in taxes is not fair, I don’t care if they are rich or poor, we should all be treated equally.

Second, he’s weak on guns. He supports protecting gun manufactures from lawsuits. Yet, he goes after “Big Tobacco” and seemingly has no problem with lawsuits against them. Hypocrite much? What I find even more absurd is that many of the people supporting him completely disagree with many of the stands he has taken on gun control but for some reason, they just don’t seem to care.

Third, his somewhat delusional plan to break up the banks. I am confident that if he got his way with the banks, he would cause a financial collapse of epic proportions. I don’t say that lightly. I am not a fan of banks. However, they serve a purpose and no one should be penalized for making money and that seems to be his whole agenda, if it makes a lot of money then it’s bad. What banks and big business should be penalized for are deceitful business tactics. The focus, in my humble opinion, needs to be on a better regulated banking industry, not the complete destruction of it.

In conclusion, I just don’t see Bernie Sanders as having a realistic or at times even a rational plan to solve some of our greatest problems. Yes, I he does have many solid points. He has strong stands on things I agree with such as the environment. However, when I learned that he decided to ship toxic waste to a poor community in Texas, it became obvious that the environment isn’t his top concern as he often implies and that’s his stance is more of a “Not in my backyard” attitude and that helps no one and thus I am supporting Hillary Clinton.

I think gun violence is one of the biggest problems we have in this country. You can ignorantly fear Muslims in this country but Christians are killing more with guns in this country than Muslims or refugees and immigrants. I have a hard time backing any candidate that preaches about control and then votes against it so often.

Who's More Progressive? Clinton or SandersSome reasons why I am supporting Hillary Clinton. Hillary has experience. She’s dealt with world leaders. She’s much stronger on guns than Bernie is. Yes, she has her weak points but she has a record of finding her way to the right side of things. No one is perfect, Bernie hasn’t always been on the right side of the issues as he so often likes to claim either and his record clearly shows that. Hillary Clinton also has a realistic tax plan. And, there’s something Hillary recently said, that I have felt for years now and that is, if Obama trusted her enough to name her Secretary of State, then it’s a pretty strong endorsement of her character.

The last time she was being interrogated by those republican wackos on their Benghazi witch hunt I sat through the entire hearing. She never wavered. She stood up to those morons and didn’t back down once. Hearing after hearing and they haven’t found a single thing she did wrong. They’ve made up a lot of stuff and have blamed her for a lot of stuff. There were things that could have been differently but none of that was her fault. If the republicans actually gave a shit about the security of our embassy’s than they probably should have voted to increase security spending. But, as usual, they refuse to take any action and then blame everyone else when the shit hits the fan.

Now all that being said, what you won’t find me doing throughout this election process is making extreme statements that hurt either candidate. One of these two people are going to be the nominee for the Democratic party and I will, without question, support either one for the office of President of the United States of America. And remember anytime you want to bad mouth Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, just remember that it’s down to one Democrat and one Republican the republicans are going to use every single critique you made against the Hillary or Bernie. Every attack against the other is helping the republican party. If you want to support Bernie or Hillary try focusing on the issues and not the attacks. We are so extremely lucky to have the two candidates that we do, attacking either them is stupid and hurtful on every conceivable level.

There is too much at stake to even suggest voting for any republican candidate. And, considering, I used to be a republican, it means a lot coming from me. The Republican party has lost it’s way. Both parties have nutjobs in them. However, at this time, the republicans are being led by those nutters and cannot be trusted. The republican candidates for President are an embarrassment to this country and the ideals for which it stands for. I simply do not trust anyone who supports that party or even suggests supporting the republican party.

Today is the Beginning of the End Until August

Today is the Beginning of the End Until August

Today is the Beginning of the End Until August…

It’s true, today really is the beginning of the end until August. It marks the end of pretty much non-stop entertainment of sports and TV. The year starts in August for me. August means that summer will finally be ending soon, and we celebrate that event with the start of pre-season football. Followed by regular season football in September. This also marks the beginning of a new season of our favorite TV shows. Then October comes around we are rewarded with first, the next season of The Walking Dead, followed by Halloween, the best of the holidays. Then right around the corner is Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve and, we get to enjoy all of these with glories football three times a week!

But, it doesn’t end there. Now begins the NFL playoffs and awards season. The Super Bowl, the Emmy’s, Globes, Oscars and the mid-season premier of The Walking Dead. It all starts to wind down in March though and sadly comes to a screeching and devastating stop with the season of Finally of The Walking Dead. A time when many of us will agonize over the loss of our dear friends on The Walking Dead. Though these friends only ever existed in our hearts and imaginations, our love for them is real and the loss we feel still hurts us anyways. Today truly is the beginning of the end until next August.

Sadly, even August isn’t as great as it once was. For many of us we had Shark Week to look forward to the first week of August. Of course Discovery Channel has slowly been fucking that up for the past several years. Last year after promising a better Shark Week they aired it an entire month early for no fucking reason and it was mediocre at best. They still had fake shark experts doing doing stupid “experiments” all while putting spins on some events that were nothing more than mere coincidence masking as scientific conclusion.  And, this year the idiot executives are moving Shark Week up yet another month! And, their teaser commercial for it is a fucking joke because they’ve thrown a fucking mermaid in it. I don’t know what the hell that was all about? Was it supposed to be a joke? They executed that punchline poorly if it was because it only succeeded in pissing off the fans off. We keep telling them what we want, they keep telling us they are listening, and the keep lying to our faces. Fuck it, I’m done with the Shark Week. They want my respect they’re gonna have to earn it.

The Long Road Ahead

On the bright side, now that we’re entering the dead zone of holidays, awards shows and anything even remotely interesting on TV it gives us a chance to go outside and be healthy. I hope this year that I honestly do take advantage this time, I know my health isn’t the best, two decades of sitting in front of PC hasn’t done me any favors health-wise. So maybe tomorrow I will get out of the house and do something? Maybe this long seasonal dead zone I won’t rely on the world to provide my entertainment? Maybe this year I will get healthy and go have some real adventures? Meh, who am I kidding, I’ll just sit here and bitch about until next August.

Oh and don’t five me any of your baseball crap. I can some of you now. “What about baseball? It’s starts today.” Baseball, sucks. I was done watching a bunch of over paid wimps that won’t even cowboy up enough to play in the rain. Now I will admit that for some odd reason I used to enjoy going to baseball games. But, that was back in time when I could go and not have to worry about some loudmouth, drunk, dumbass getting in my face because I’m not wearing the jersey of the team he likes. The last thing I need is to end up in jail for beating the crap out of some drunk fool that thought he was a tough guy. So yes, baseball, like Shark Week can go fuck itself.
